This was dope, I loved it! You did such a great job describing these scenes, and it was fun seeing the wordplay related to their figures (i.e. "not much of a physique to speak of in the first place", "a tear to Doug's eye socket"), it felt like you really enjoyed writing this. As fun as it was throughout, though, you managed to pull at the heart strings, too. Great stuff!
